Job summary

Zurich North America in New York City is seeking an experienced Executive Underwriter to join the Multinational team. This market-facing role involves underwriting and analyzing new and renewal Multinational Property and Casualty accounts, with a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office).

You will build strong relationships with agents and brokers in the East Region, apply underwriting rules, and operate with broad authority on complex assignments while staying visible in the marketplace about 25%

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent plus underwriting or market facing experience.
• Experience with time-sensitive quotes for new and renewal business.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.

Executive Underwriter - Multinational MM

Zurich is currently looking for an experienced Executive Underwriter to join our Multinational team in New York City! While this position will be based out of our New York City office, you will have the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis being in the office 3 days per week. You will partner with your manager to set a flexible work schedule that supports you, our customers, and our brokers and agents.

As a member of Zurich's Underwriting Team, you will enjoy the opportunity to fully apply and hone your underwriting and marketing skills. Specifically, you will underwrite and analyze new and renewal Multinational Property and Casualty accounts. This is a market facing position and you will be expected to be visible in the marketplace 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting, analyzing, and generating new and renewal business
• Market facing and production within the Middle Market Multinational division

Executive Underwriter - Multinational Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area.
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
  OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area
  OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
  AND
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
• Experience working in a team environment

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The proposed Salary range for this position is $125,300.00 - $205,100.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
