Crum & Forster is seeking an experienced Executive Underwriter in Uniondale, NY, responsible for overseeing the Contract Surety product underwriting. This role entails developing relationships with brokers and growing a profitable book of business while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines.

An Executive Underwriter is accountable for Contract Surety product underwriting that contributes to the achievement of the Contract Surety business plan including new business, renewal retention, pricing and profitability. This role reports to the Regional UW Director and will work closely to foster agency/broker relationships and develop a profitable book of business.
Travel required and proof of valid driver license.

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $86,600 to a maximum of $174,400. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
