This individual contributor works directly in support of the Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) and plays a key role in executing underwriting initiatives, reinforcing underwriting discipline, and advancing strategic priorities across the company. The Executive Underwriter also provides technical mentorship, and ensures alignment with CIC’s underwriting philosophy, and corporate strategy.

  • Assist in the training, coaching and informal mentoring of Commercial Lines underwriting staff.
  • Support CUO‑sponsored initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening internal controls, and improving underwriting consistency.
  • Participate in the development, review, and ongoing maintenance of Commercial Lines underwriting guidelines, authority levels and department policy and procedures.
