Job summary

VDS Consulting Group is seeking an experienced senior leader to guide a distressed manufacturing asset through liquidity management, stabilization, and restructuring on a 6–12 month contract.

You will own 13-week cash flow, negotiate with lenders and creditors, analyze product profitability, drive cost reductions, and plan contingencies such as asset sales or Chapter 11, with rigorous board reporting.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of senior operating or financial leadership with turnaround accountability.
• Multiple distressed engagements and proven restructuring track record.
• Liquidity management capability under genuine constraint.
• Experience negotiating with lenders for forbearance, amendments, and refinancings.
• Manufacturing operations literacy to assess plant viability.
• Calm, steady leadership to hold a room amid loss of confidence.

Responsibilities

• Immediate liquidity management and cash conservation.
• 13-week cash flow as the primary operating instrument.
• Lender, creditor, and stakeholder negotiation and communication.
• Product line and customer profitability analysis leading to exit or divestiture decisions.
• Cost structure reduction including headcount and footprint actions.
• Debt restructuring, forbearance, and amendment negotiation.
• Contingency planning including 363 sale or Chapter 11 preparation where applicable.
• Board, sponsor, and lender reporting under high scrutiny.
