Position Title: Sous Chef
Job Description: The Sous Chef will be responsible for leading culinary personnel and maintaining a professional and organized kitchen. Ensuring excellent food quality and preparation is a priority. The Sous Chef reports directly to the Executive Chef and assumes all duties of the Executive Chef when necessary.
The role involves assisting in selecting, training, and coaching culinary staff. As an intermediary between the front and back of house, strong leadership and communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef and gain experience in administrative duties and cost control to support career growth.

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 2+ years of current experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume (over $3M/year) full-service or upscale casual restaurant. Proficiency in maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and consistency is required, along with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Hands-on experience in hiring, training, and developing staff, as well as financial management skills (P&L, inventory, food/labor costs), are essential.
