Qualifications

• Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently.
• Bending/stooping/kneeling required – frequently
• Routine standing for duration of shift
• Safely maneuvering equipment such as hand cart, blenders, knives, slices, wine keys
• Scheduled shifts determined by business needs

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate staff levels based on projected sales and business needs.
• Cultivate an environment of open dialogue with restaurant team, senior team and home office partners.
• Practice proactive performance management with the General Manager and HR when necessary.
• Be up-to-date with current food trends through research and vendor partnerships.
• Assist Executive Chef with daily, weekly, and monthly specials and menu development.
• Minimize employee turnover by effective onboarding, clear expectations, coaching and feedback.
• Support implementation of training programs and ensure on-the-job transfer of skills.
• Achieve or exceed kitchen financial targets (food cost, efficiencies, labor, expenses).
