Job summary

Millennium Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Executive Sous Chef in Sunnyvale, CA to lead the culinary team and support the Executive Chef in all kitchen operations. You will drive food quality, production planning, and service excellence across restaurant, banquet, and catering outlets.

The role requires strong culinary leadership, hands-on supervision, and a commitment to food safety and quality in a fast-paced hotel environment. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity with competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily culinary operations across all food & beverage outlets
• Supervise kitchen staff during prep and service
• Ensure recipes and plating meet quality standards
• Monitor food quality, temperature, portion control, and presentation
• Lead menu development and seasonal offerings
• Maintain mise en place and production levels
• Step in to lead kitchen in the Executive Chef's absence
• Coach and develop culinary team members
• Promote teamwork and professional kitchen culture
• Monitor HACCP and sanitation compliance
• Coordinate with Banquets, Restaurant Management, and events
• Ensure safety, maintenance and efficient kitchen operations
