Qualifications

This stylish and sophisticated Forbes 4-Star property features 360 rooms, 32,000 sq ft of banquet space, and 5 food and beverage outlets including a restaurant, rooftop bar, lobby lounge, club lounge, and in-room dining.

In this role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the culinary operations, focusing on banquets and managing a team of 20+.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader, driven to grow with the ability to advance the business through staff training, creativity, and strong organization. A minimum of three (3) years of culinary management experience in banquets and upscale environments is required. Luxury hotel and union management experience are a plus.

As Executive Sous Chef, you will support the direction and administration of all culinary operations to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Executive Chef in overseeing culinary operations, including meal preparation, food quality, safety standards, team performance, policy implementation, cost control, and profitability.
  • Interacting with guests and clients to monitor satisfaction, address issues, and implement improvements.
  • Creating and implementing menu options for banquets and events based on food trends and regional tastes, in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol standards.
  • Developing team performance through supervision, counseling, training, scheduling, and recognition.

The annual salary range for this role is $95,000-$115,000, depending on experience and location.
