About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Austin is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to join our dynamic Culinary Team. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and management for the Kitchen Department by establishing plans of character, integrity, and quality which result in the long-range continued growth and profitability of the department, division and Hotel.

What you will do

The Executive Sous Chef is classified as a Department Head position, reporting to the Executive Chef, and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including staff management, menu planning, cost control, and maintaining food quality and sanitation standards. This role supports strategic planning, ensures compliance with health regulations, manages inventory and purchasing, and helps drive profitability through effective leadership and operational efficiency.

What you bring

  • College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or culinary arts, or equivalent experience
  • 5 to 7 years previous experience in multiple culinary/food and beverage department head positions
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • The ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems
  • The ability to operate and utilize culinary production equipment and tools
