Job summary

BioTalent is partnering with a global CDMO to appoint a Managing Director & Site Head for a growing manufacturing facility. You will lead site operations, safety, quality, and financial performance, while building the organizational structure and growth strategy for a major expansion.

You will drive readiness for a new peptide production facility, collaborate across engineering, quality, and project teams, and represent the site to customers and regulators.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Significant leadership experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or CDMO manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience leading site operations, P&L responsibility, operational excellence, safety, quality, and customer delivery.
• Strong understanding of cGMP manufacturing and regulated operations.
• Experience supporting major capital projects, facility expansions, technology transfer, startup, commissioning, or operational readiness is highly desirable.
• Executive-level leadership, stakeholder management, and team-building capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all site operations, safety, quality, and financial performance.
• Develop and execute the long-term growth strategy for the site.
• Build the future leadership team, organizational structure, and operating model.
• Drive operational readiness for a new peptide manufacturing facility.
• Partner with engineering, quality, technical operations, MSAT, and project teams through startup and scale-up.
• Oversee technology transfers, capacity planning, asset utilization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as the key site representative with customers, regulators, community stakeholders, and corporate leadership.
