Ohio Department of Behavioral Health seeks an Assistant Chief Clinical Officer for Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare in Columbus. You will oversee clinical services across inpatient beds and outpatient programs, supervise psychiatrists, and guide medical staff to meet Joint Commission standards.

Responsibilities include collaborating with external physicians, leading educational initiatives, and acting as a Medical Officer of the Day when needed.

Formación

• Must hold a medical license to practice in Ohio.
• Certification in psychiatry is required or highly preferred.
• Official transcripts must be provided when requested.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic and operational oversight of all clinical services across COBH facilities.
• Supervise assigned psychiatrists and evaluate performance as needed.
• Ensure psychiatric care meets standards set by COBH, DBH, ORC and Joint Commission.
• Lead treatment teams and review cases and progress with psychiatrists.
• Oversee bed management, admissions, discharges and waitlists.
• Coordinate with outside psychiatrists to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide medical staff training and serve as liaison to OSU Dept of Psychiatry.
• Act as collaborating physician for Advance Practice Nurses as required.
• Serve as Medical Officer of the Day or Cross Coverage Doctor as needed.
