About the RoleAecon Global Security is seeking a highly trained Executive Protection Specialist to join a dedicated personal security detail for a high-visibility principal and their family, based in McLean, VA. This is a full-time, close-protection assignment requiring the judgment, discipline, and operational maturity typically developed through elite military service eg, Navy SEAL or other special operations background) combined with formal executive protection training.This is not a general security guard post — this is a career-track protective role for someone who has already proven themselves under pressure and is ready to apply that experience to protecting a family.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct, on-site protective coverage for the principal and immediate family members, both residentially and while travelingConduct advance work: route planning, site surveys, and threat/risk assessments for domestic and international travelMaintain constant situational awareness across residential, corporate, social, and public settingsCoordinate secure transportation, lodging, and movement logisticsLiaise as needed with household staff, family office personnel, and local law enforcementIdentify and de-escalate potential threats before they materialize; respond decisively if they doMaintain absolute discretion regarding the principal's schedule, habits, and personal affairsSustain readiness for rotating shifts, last-minute travel, and extended time away from home baseRequired Qualifications- Prior special operations or equivalent elite military background strongly preferred - Navy SEAL, other SOF, or comparableFormal Executive Protection certification from a recognized program (e.g., Executive Protection Institute, ESI, Global Guardian, ISDA, or equivalent)Prior experience in dignitary, executive, or celebrity protectionFirearms proficient, with ability to maintain ongoing qualificationCurrent certification (or ability to obtain) in First Aid/CPR/Tactical Combat Casualty CareAbility to obtain any required Commonwealth of Virginia licensure/certification for armed protective workValid, clean driver's license; defensive/evasive driving training a plusWillingness and ability to travel extensively and on short notice, domestically and internationallyAbility to pass an extensive background investigationDiscretion, professionalism, and composure when embedded closely with a family's day-to-day lifePreferredExperience protecting high-net-worth families or public figures in a residential/estate settingForeign language proficiencyExperience coordinating with household staff or family officesAdvance and motorcade experience
