Job summary

The Special Projects Coordinator at WMATA works directly with the Leadership to manage planning, coordination, and monitoring of high‑level projects. The role requires proactive, detail‑oriented individuals who can operate in a fast-paced environment.

You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, assemble materials for meetings, track deliverables, and help ensure timely completion of initiatives while complying with regulatory reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains liaisons with internal and external individuals and organizations using an integrated program approach.
• Facilitates specific program initiatives in support of WMATA's strategic goals and aligns cross-functional actions.
• Leads projects with SVP/VP, defines requirements, scopes, and timelines; reports outcomes and risks.
• Coordinates CAPs and audit findings; drafts memorandums and committee materials including PowerPoint presentations.
• Assists in developing the department budget and handles confidential information with tact.
• Creates executive presentations and provides writing support to senior leaders.
