Job summary

The National Education Association (NEA) seeks an experienced administrative professional to support the Center for Racial & Social Justice (CRSJ) programs in a DC-based role. The incumbent provides executive-level assistance to the CAPE director, manages calendars, prepares reports, coordinates projects and travel, and handles financial documentation with vendors.

The position requires discretion, meticulous writing, and strong collaboration with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Associate of Arts degree, preferably in business administration or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of progressively responsible program and administrative experience including executive support, writing/editing, and presenting materials.
  • Experience with vouchers, vendor payments, and financial documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage calendars, schedules, and complex travel arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive-level administrative support to the Director of CAPE and CRSJ programs.
  • Manage calendars, appointments, and schedules; prepare reports and correspondence.
  • Develop project plans, determine implementation strategies, and coordinate departmental projects.
  • Process vouchers, vendor payments, travel arrangements, and financial documentation; draft and edit materials.
