Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking an Executive Producer for ABC4 News (ABC4/CW30) in Salt Lake City to lead morning newscasts across all platforms. You will mentor morning staff, shape coverage strategy, supervise the newsroom, and ensure timely, accurate reporting with strong digital engagement.

A bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year in TV/radio production are required; on-site work is expected. Excellent communication, newsroom leadership, and knowledge of modern TV and digital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications/TV-Film, or equivalent experience in a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in television or radio broadcast/production.
• Digital experience a plus.
• Must be able to interact with anchors, producers, reporters, photographers, engineering and news managers.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Detail Oriented.
• Strong news judgement, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer/readers expectations.
• Must understand state-of-the-art television and digital technology.

The Executive Producer will be responsible for news across all media platforms during the early morning and morning hours, on both ABC4 and CW30.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, work near others, work outdoors occasionally in all weather conditions, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. In addition, must be able to lift, set up and operate equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, and can handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. Repetitive movements are required. Work may be conducted in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions.
