Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. seeks an Executive Producer to supervise news content across platforms and line-produce at least one hour of live newscast. You will evaluate stories and organize them into a cohesive sequence to inform viewers.

You will define strategic direction for coverage, manage the newsroom and editorial process, make quick decisions in breaking news, and drive audience engagement while ensuring marketing of projects aligns with budget and company objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, TV/film, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in television or radio broadcast/production.
  • Ability to interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production and engineering staff.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills.
  • Strong news judgment and understanding of viewer needs.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art broadcast technology.

Requirements & Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, TV/film or the equivalent
  • At least 5 years’ experience in television or radio broadcast/production
  • Must be able to interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production and engineering staff
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills

  • Utilize state-of-the-art television technology

Pay Range: $40,000-$45,000 salary plan
