The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX seeks an Associate Chief of Staff – Ambulatory Care (ACOS-AC) to serve in executive leadership, translating directives into local policies and executing them across multiple locations. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30.

Responsibilities include top-management governance, policy development, resource coordination, and program direction for patient care, with a focus on quality, compliance, and veteran-centered outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (or consideration for non-citizen candidates if no qualified U.S. Citizen is found)
• Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
• MD/DO degree and Board certification in any specialty
• Demonstrated administrative and leadership experience
• Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our Veterans

• Participates in top management discussions, decisions, policy making and provides program direction to executives and staff
• Provides input for medical center planning, budgeting and administration
• Formulates policies and operating procedures compliant with VA regulations and review bodies
• Coordinates resources and builds community relationships to support patient care
• Provides guidance to subordinate staff and delegates responsibilities
• Plans and directs personnel management and ensures staff training and education
• Ensures staff orientation and ongoing professional development
• Manages quality assurance and lean management to improve programs
