Job Type: Full-time, Part-time (30-40 hours per week, daytime hours)

Salary: $30/hour

Background:

International bestselling author and thought leader,Dr. Warren Farrell,is seeking a high caliber Executive and Personal assistant to work in a home office nestled in a redwood park on Mt. Tamalpais in Mill Valley, CA.

This is a unique opportunity to work one-on-one with a prolific author in a peaceful home office – ideal for someone who thrives in a quiet, intellectually stimulating environment and wants to contribute meaningfully to the creation of Dr. Farrell’s next book, The Man Crisis. Assistant needs very strong computer trouble-shooting skills (includingChat GPT-4o, Notion,Mac OSX, Google Suite, WordPress, Constant Contact, and Microsoft Office); ability to take direction, attention to detail, and a “can-do” attitude. She or he needs to be a self-starter comfortable handling multiple short-and long-term projects simultaneously.

Primary goal:

To manage the day-to-day tasks—ranging from household errands to business and vacation travel planning and preparation, to tech setup—that free up Dr. Farrell’s time and energy to focus on writing, media appearances, and travel preparation. Approximately 90% of the support is for Dr. Farrell, with 10% light assistance for his wife, who runs a PR firm from home.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Must be highly proficient and comfortable with advanced AI tools (ChatGPT, Notion, Perplexity, NotebookLM, Google Gemini, etc.) to assist with research, drafting, and summarizing content for next book
  • Troubleshoot computer issues and manage tech tools (Zoom, Google Docs, Dropbox, Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Handle email and phone correspondence, scheduling, filing (digital and physical), shipping, and data entry
  • Provide editorial input, research assistance, and organizational support for Dr. Farrell’s upcoming book
  • Managing social media content and Dr. Farrell’s YouTube channel (editing, posting interviews & video content, and engagement)
  • Order and organize daily supplements and medications
  • Vet and track podcast and media requests
  • Occasionally respond to calls on off hours (for extra pay)
  • Self-startingand working either in office or remotely when Dr. Farrell is traveling (about6-8weeks/year).
  • Maintain contact databases and send email marketing campaigns via Constant Contact

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Proficiency with ChatGPT and other AI tools (e.g. Perplexity, Google Gemini, NotebookLM, etc.) as well as creative AI platforms like Midjourney and ideogram.ai
  • Strong overall tech proficiency; able to learn and navigate new AI or tech tools - even unfamiliar ones
  • Mac-based role: Must be highly comfortable working on Mac OS X and Apple products/systems
  • Skilled with Google Suite, WordPress, Zoom, Notion, Canva, Dropbox, Constant Contact, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable with troubleshooting common tech issues and managing software updates
  • Experience managing social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.) and updating website using WordPress
  • Calendar management experience across platforms (iCal, print, and digital calendar)
  • Experience booking and managing travel, reviewing contracts, tracking payments and reimbursements from business trips, etc.

Location Requirement:

  • This is an on-site role in Mill Valley, CA (ZIP 94941)
  • Candidates must have a car to run errands and commute to the location
  • Candidates must live within a 25-minute commute, or be willing to relocate before starting
