This role is with the Gartner Executive Partner for Chief Audit Executive team, a brand-new product at an exciting stage.

Role summary: Executive Partners serve as trusted advisors to Chief Audit Executives (CAEs) from organizations across industries, delivering solutions for critical audit and oversight challenges and aligning audit priorities with company objectives.

Location: This role is virtual and can be based anywhere within the United States.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide executive advisory services to CAEs across industries and business models.
  • Synthesize Gartner insights to deliver world-class advisory support through ongoing bi-weekly client engagement and periodic working sessions; operate independently to adapt materials for client use.
  • Host, facilitate, and participate in member activities, including strategy sessions, peer roundtables, and client meetings at conferences and webinars (virtually or on-site as circumstances dictate).
  • Define and deliver innovative solutions by assessing member needs and developing a customized value plan in line with Executive Program strategy and product deliverables.
  • Facilitate member interaction and peer collaboration through the Gartner for Audit community portal and member connections.
  • Collaborate with Client Support Professionals and Account Executives to support members.
  • Participate in all phases of the member lifecycle: pre-sale, onboarding, relationship management, delivery, review, and renewal.
  • Work with Business and Technology Insights (BTI) Analysts to identify gaps in material relevant to members; you will help ensure content is valuable.
  • Focus on sales enablement, supporting member retention and contributing to account growth through Gartner Sales Associates.
  • Engage with sales teams to articulate the value of Guided Product vs Self-Directed product, build confidence to engage with C-suite prospects, create Value Stories, and participate in account planning and proof-of-concept engagements.
What You’ll Need
  • Ideally, an accomplished CAE with experience operating at a senior leadership level, working with the C-suite, Audit Committee, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
  • At least 5+ years of experience as a CAE (or equivalent) and at least 15+ years in areas critical to leading an audit function.
  • Deep understanding of the Audit function and related areas (Compliance, Legal & Risk, etc.).
  • Experience across multiple industries to support diverse member organizations.
  • Audit or consulting firm experience with client relationship management is beneficial.
  • Technologically savvy; comfortable leveraging AI and other tools to work efficiently, including handling administrative tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) to draft client-ready materials.
  • Consulting background is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to provide actionable, outcome-based advice; ability to leverage Gartner resources for member results.
  • Ability to build strategic internal partnerships and drive change; client-facing with executive presence and ability to quickly build trust.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation and presentation skills, and relationship management.
  • Willingness to work independently and handle administrative tasks.
