Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Senior Director - Executive Medical Director, Drug Development to drive clinical oncology drug development from Phase I through Phase III. The role guides investigator-initiated trials and ensures compliance with high ethical and regulatory standards.

You will partner with medical affairs to plan product launches, manage external vendors, and liaise with regulatory bodies (FDA/EMA) while shaping development strategy and execution.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• 3–5+ years oncology drug development experience.
• Board certification or eligibility in Oncology preferred.
• Strong multitasking in a dynamic biotech environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide oncology medical/scientific guidance for drug development strategies.
• Oversee clinical development plans (Phase I–III) for oncology assets.
• Collaborate with CROs, imaging/lab resources, and global partners.
• Interact with FDA/EMA and oversee IND/NDA sections.
• Develop trial documents: protocols, consent forms, CSRs, abstracts.
• Represent the company at national/international meetings and advisory boards.
• Support launch planning for future antineoplastic agents.
• Lead cross-functional medical/science teams across discovery to clinical operations.
