Qualifications

• RN active license in state of employment or compact license.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing; if not in nursing, must have a related field Master’s and a NR/college degree (M.B.A., M.H.A., or M.S.).
• Ten years of healthcare experience.
• Five years of leadership experience in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Participates in hospital decision-making with leaders to develop strategic plans, budgets, resource allocation, operational plans and policies.
• Leads nursing leadership in developing a nursing mission, vision and strategic plan aligned with hospital goals.
• Mentors and develops managers and staff for leadership roles via role modeling and shared leadership.
• Directs patient care teams as a leader and change agent.
• Develops and implements effective communication channels for staff feedback in a non-threatening environment.
• Fosters positive working relationships and collaborates with physicians and other departments to solve problems.
