Job summary

Creekside Behavioral Health in Kingsport, TN seeks a Chief Nursing Officer to lead nursing operations across behavioral health services. You will set the vision for nursing practice, ensure safe and patient-centered care, and drive quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

The CNO will collaborate with executives to develop policies, manage budgets, staffing, and education programs, and provide executive leadership during crises and survey readiness.

Qualifications

• MSN required with five+ years of nursing leadership experience in behavioral health.
• Five+ years nursing experience; three+ years in psychiatric/behavioral health.
• Active RN license; psychiatric nursing certification preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint training required on hire.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Sets vision for nursing practice and oversees daily operations.
• Collaborates with leaders to align policies with strategic goals.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and budgeting for nursing services.
• Ensures infection control and patient safety programs.
• Coordinates patient assessments and care plans with psychiatry.
• Participates in audits, regulatory inspections, and plan of correction.
