Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess, at minimum, a nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or school of nursing.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must be calm and levelheaded in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the nursing service department in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
• Assist in development and implementation of department policies and procedures.
• Keep current of federal and state regulations and make policy changes.
• Develop and implement a nursing service organization structure.
• Determine staffing needs and number/level of nursing personnel to employ.
