Job summary

UC Health in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Assistant Chief Nursing Officer to lead nursing, administrative, and clinical operations across patient care delivery. This executive role reports to the Vice President of Patient Services/Chief Nursing Officer.

The ACNO will drive standards of care, budget planning, talent development, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to advance quality and efficiency in the hospital.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required.
• State of Ohio Registered Nursing License required.
• Minimum 6–10 years of equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate with Nursing Leadership and other managers in Alliance decision-making and performance improvement.
• Assist with planning strategies and goals through community involvement and improving care delivery.
• Recruit, retain and motivate a competent professional staff in area of responsibility.
• Develop and implement budget and staffing plans to deliver cost-effective quality patient care.
• Develop evidenced-based standards of care and nursing practice within the ACNO span of control.
• Delegate administrative authority to accomplish duties while conforming to standards and regulations.
• Create service expectations that enhance patient satisfaction and staff partnerships.
• Collaborate with medical staff to influence practice environment and alignment.
