Qualifications
- PhD in Chemical Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering with 12+ years in pharma/biotech leadership across formulation, delivery, medicinal chemistry, process and analytical development, platform strategy, and organizational leadership.
- Experience with developability assessment criteria and global CMC/regulatory expectations for oligo-based therapeutics (ASO, siRNA).
- Proven record of scientific innovation, publications/patents/INDs/NDAs and advancing therapeutics from discovery to development.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute enterprise-level strategic roadmap for oligonucleotide-based therapeutics including chemistry, delivery, and formulation.
- Advance platform innovation to broaden therapeutic impact and differentiate Stoke’s products.
- Identify and integrate new technologies to extend TANGO and nucleic acid approaches across tissues.
- Provide senior leadership across ASO, siRNA, and PMO technologies.
- Build and scale high-performing scientific teams across chemistry, delivery, analytics, and biology.
- Evaluate concepts and partnerships to optimize impact and manage risk.
- Shape early-stage concepts with R&D and program leadership; allocate resources accordingly.
- Establish external collaborations to expand capabilities aligned with Stoke’s mission.
- Represent platform capabilities to internal and external stakeholders with credibility.
