Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking an Executive Medical Director for Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital (VPH) Adult Services and Vanderbilt University Hospital (VUH) Psychiatry. Qualificações

• MD or DO degree and board certification in psychiatry.
• Experience leading clinical teams in an academic medical center.
• Background in inpatient psychiatric care and program management.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and inform clinical practice standards for adult patients at Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital, sharing accountability for annual goals with VP and CNO.
• Co-manage the clinical effort of physicians and nurse practitioners with the Executive Medical Director of Ambulatory Services; create and manage call schedule for VPH Adult Services.
• Provide executive management of three clinical services through direct reports: VUH Hospital Psychiatry, Neuromodulation, and Psychiatric Assessment Service.
• Serve on the Leadership Council of the Vanderbilt Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences to guide clinical services.
• Lead daily team meetings to manage admissions, discharges, and census; coordinate with Access Center and operations for timely patient access.
• Drive retention and engagement initiatives for employees and clinicians.
• Partner with administrative and nursing leaders on quality and process improvement efforts, including reducing harm events and readmissions.
• Plan and manage growth in the service line across the geographic area of responsibility.
