Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Medical Director to advance cultural, strategic, operational, and clinical alignment within our medical group. You will provide clinical and managerial healthcare leadership, collaboratively problem-solve, and strategically plan the development of the medical staff and clinic.

You will confirm compliance with state and federal requirements, drive key quality initiatives, and interact with Practice Managers, Directors, the Regional Medical Director, and facility

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active license to practice medicine.
• Proven leadership and management of clinical teams.
• Experience with physician recruitment, retention, and development.
• Strong change management and budgeting skills.
• Competent in regulatory compliance and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and managerial healthcare leadership daily.
• Drive quality initiatives and alignment with medical group.
• Coordinate with CMO, directors, and facility leadership on planning.
• Oversee credentialing and patient safety programs.
• Mentor and onboard new physicians.
• Ensure clinical supervision of mid-level providers.
