Kailera Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Medical Director, Clinical Development to lead the design and execution of clinical development programs for our obesity-focused pipeline.

This onsite role in Waltham, MA requires strong clinical insight and cross-functional collaboration. You will oversee medical monitoring, safety, regulatory interactions, and study reporting while partnering with Regulatory, Safety, and Clinical Operations teams in a fast-paced biotech setting.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent is required.
• 4+ years in clinical development in biotech or small pharma.
• Experience designing and executing clinical trials.
• Knowledge of GCP and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Medical monitoring, reporting and safety activities.
• Lead design and execution of clinical development strategies across studies.
• Serve as medical contact for clinical issues.
• Contribute to regulatory interactions and IND/CTA submissions.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations for site selection and recruitment.
• Support data interpretation, analysis and study reports.
• Engage with Regulatory, Safety, CMC, Medical Affairs and Translational Science teams.
• Drive external collaborations with KOLs, CROs and investigators.
• Support publications and conference presentations.
