Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HR or People Operations experience across a fast-scaling tech/engineering environment.
• Breadth across employee relations, compliance, benefits, recruiting, talent development and HR systems.
• Experience building competency or career frameworks.
• Strong working knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements.
• Track record of owning HR work independently and delivering results.
• Excellent judgment in ambiguous, sensitive situations with high confidentiality.
• Ability to translate HR complexity for scientists, engineers and executives.
• Proficiency with modern HRIS and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Own Talent Acquisition: partner with hiring managers on full-cycle recruiting for priority technical and operations roles and support workforce planning and headcount tracking.
• Own Talent Development: build competency frameworks and career pathways; design and deliver learning for managers, onboarding, and individual contributors moving toward technical leadership.
• Own Employee Relations: serve as the trusted first call for employees and managers; investigate and resolve sensitive matters with fairness and discretion; coach through performance concerns.
• Own Compliance and HR Operations: maintain policies and processes; administer HRIS, ATS, and benefits platforms; manage end-to-end employee lifecycle.
• Own Total Rewards: administer benefits programs; support annual comp cycles, benchmarking, equity administration; partner with Finance on payroll accuracy and reporting.
• Own Engagement: run surveys and translate results into actionable recommendations.
