Job summary

Idaho Youth Ranch seeks a mission-driven Chief Behavioral Health Officer to lead behavioral health and support services for youth and families across Idaho. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the CBHO will oversee clinical, residential, and non-clinical programs, ensuring trauma-informed, high-quality care and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a clinical field or equivalent leadership experience.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in behavioral health or clinical operations.
• Proven ability to lead multi-site or statewide programs.
• Deep knowledge of clinical best practices, compliance and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all direct service programs, including outpatient therapy, residential care, adoptions, and workforce development.
• Ensure clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across all behavioral health services.
• Mentor and develop program leaders and staff to deliver client-centered care.
• Collaborate with the CEO and senior leaders to align operations with strategic goals.
• Build partnerships with community stakeholders to expand access and impact.
