Job summary

The Saint Louis Science Center seeks a Vice President of Science and Education to provide strategic leadership for science, education, galleries, exhibits, and learning experiences.

As a senior leader, you will partner with the President and CEO to advance institutional strategy, build community partnerships, ensure scientific rigor, accessibility, and engaging experiences across the museum.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in science, education, museums, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of informal science learning, museum education, and audience engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for science, education, galleries, exhibits, and learning experiences.
• Lead development of engaging, inclusive science experiences for diverse multigenerational audiences.
• Build and strengthen partnerships with schools, universities, scientists, STEM industries, and community organizations.
• Ensure scientific integrity, educational quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of Center experiences through evaluation and feedback.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resources; foster an inclusive, high-trust culture.
