Job summary

GSK seeks a Senior Director, R&D AI & Technology Portfolio to provide strategic oversight, analytics, and decision support for AI and technology investments across R&D. The role collaborates with the SVP and senior leaders to align priorities and ensure value delivery.

Based in the United States with hybrid on-site and remote work, the position requires influence across programmes, governance, and cross-functional teams. Some time may be spent at partner sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of strategic oversight across a complex portfolio.
• Credible across different R&D stages and value chain.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for exec-level recommendations.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio analytics and reporting with a credible status view.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities to improve value.
• Lead Technology Investment Board secretariat and content prep.
• Provide independent analysis to SVP and senior leaders.
• Evaluate build/buy/partner/acquisition options for capabilities.
• Collaborate across R&D, Finance, and programme teams for transparency.
