Job summary

State of Iowa - Executive Branch seeks a Division Administrator for the Department of Education. The role leads the PK‑12 Learning Division, governing standards, accountability, and strategic priorities to improve student outcomes.

You will oversee personnel, coordinate with executives, and steward federal funds to support disadvantaged students and enrichment programs. This position requires strong leadership, collaboration, and policy expertise to guide statewide efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with extensive management‑level experience (see minimum qualifications).
• Strong leadership, policy coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse education stakeholders and partner organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Division of PK‑12 Learning team and administer personnel policies.
• Oversee program development, accountability, and funding administration to support student outcomes.
• Coordinate with the DE Executive Leadership team and key stakeholder groups to advance priorities.
• Direct statewide STEM initiatives and partnerships supporting PK–12 education.
