Washington State Department of Social and Health Services is seeking an accomplished executive to serve as Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Behavioral Health & Habilitation Administration (BHHA). Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Senior-level healthcare administration experience in a complex environment.
• Experience developing and managing significant operational and/or capital budgets.
• Experience in a matrix management environment with internal/external stakeholders.
• Commitment to advancing equity, access, and belonging.
• Government leadership experience and experience developing legislative/budget requests are highly desirable.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide executive leadership for BHHA facilities and headquarters and for approximately 1,633 employees and seven direct reports.
• Oversee policy implementation, risk management, major strategic initiatives, and budget resources.
• Strengthen organizational performance and financial stewardship across Washington's behavioral health system.
• Lead collaboration with hospital CEOs and headquarters leaders to improve coordination and decision-making.
• Balance fiscal stewardship with patient and staff safety and compassionate leadership.
