Job summary

Providence is seeking a Chief of Imaging Services to lead diagnostic imaging across all sites and modalities. This executive will guide governance, capital planning, and standardization while improving access, quality, and patient experience.

The role requires strong collaboration with radiologists, IT, and operations to drive performance and compliance. The position oversees capacity optimization, adherence to standards, and scalable imaging systems with analytics-driven decision support.

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise imaging informatics initiatives (PACS/VNA, image exchange, workflow optimization).
• Experience with JV partnerships, outsourced imaging arrangements, and professional services alignment (preferred).
• Lean/Six Sigma or comparable performance improvement training with results.
• Progressive leadership in diagnostic imaging operations across multiple sites/modalities.

Responsibilities

• Provide unified leadership and strategic direction for Diagnostic Imaging services across sites.
• Establish system-wide governance and decision rights for strategy, standards, and capital.
• Standardize performance management with dashboards and KPIs; reduce unwarranted variation.
• Strengthen quality, safety, access, and patient experience across imaging footprints.
• Align analytics, informatics, workforce development, and vendor management to scale.
• Lead in a matrixed environment with physician leadership and cross-functional partners.
