Job summary

Cordant Health Solutions seeks a Scientific Director to lead its high‑complexity clinical and forensic drug testing laboratories. You will provide scientific and administrative oversight, ensuring CAP/CLIA compliance and strong QA processes across the organization.

The role covers laboratory director responsibilities, expert testimony, and collaboration with leadership to implement new technologies and expand services.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a clinical/medical laboratory science field or an equivalent (MD/DO) with board certification as required.
• At least two years directing or supervising high‑complexity testing, including forensic toxicology experience.
• Holds Laboratory Director Certificate of Qualification for CLIA/CAP requirements including NY DOH, with lecturing or expert testimony experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide laboratory-wide scientific and technical leadership across high‑complexity testing.
• Ensure accreditation/licensure compliance (CAP, CLIA, NY DOH, state boards).
• Oversee quality assurance and continuous improvement programs; chair or participate in QA committees.
• Serve as expert toxicologist and consultant for internal stakeholders and clients; interpret test results.
