Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and energetic Executive Kitchen Manager with great leadership skills who will contribute to a fun, friendly, and fast-paced environment while developing dynamic teams. Sauced BBQ & Spirits is a high-volume BBQ restaurant located next to the Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento. The Executive Kitchen Manager must lead by example in all areas of the restaurant and be passionate about building a loyal customer base, with a desire to develop systems and staff to deliver the best guest experience repeatedly.

Responsibilities
  • Manage shift-to-shift operations of the BOH, including all kitchen areas, smoker room, and dish area.
  • Implement and oversee training programs with measurable metrics and accountability.
  • Manage BOH staff to meet operational goals related to efficiency and profitability, focusing on labor and food costs.
  • Establish and maintain BOH procedures for operational efficiency, including product receiving, quality control, line checks, inventory management, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Handle hiring, employee reviews, grading, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and rotation to meet health and safety standards.
Experience
  • 2-4 years of experience as an Executive Kitchen Manager in a full-service restaurant.
  • Responsible for overseeing 30+ staff members.
Education/Certification
  • California Food Protection Manager Certification.

Requirements

This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, with the expectation to work longer hours as needed until tasks are completed. You are eligible for 10 days of paid time off (PTO) annually, accruing immediately. Additionally, a quarterly bonus structure is included, paid based on measurable performance within 60 days after each quarter's close. To qualify for bonuses, you must be employed through the bonus payout date or at least one month after the quarter ends, whichever is sooner.
