Job summary

County of Siskiyou seeks a Department Head of Information Technology to plan, organize, and direct the administration of the IT department. This role oversees centralized IT operations, coordinates with operating departments, and leads a team of managers and supervisors to deliver reliable information systems across county services.

The incumbent will report to the County Administrative Officer, supervise IT staff, and ensure effective IT planning, scheduling, and control in a public agency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or Business/Public Administration
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in systems analysis/design and business applications
• Experience in program management and supervision of technical staff

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the County IT Department administration
• Direct centralized IT operations and coordinate decentralized data processing
• Supervise Deputy Director and IT staff across the department
• Coordinate with County Administrative Officer and other departments to align IT services with policy and priorities
