Job summary

Smcgov Court seeks an accomplished HR executive to lead people strategy, culture development, and organizational capability in service of the justice system. This role drives workforce planning, leadership development, and accountability to improve public service.

The Director will provide executive oversight of employee relations, labor relations, recruitment and classification, compensation, workers’ compensation, and compliance with EEO, ADA, and FMLA while aligning Facilities with operations

Qualifications

• Executive-level HR leadership in complex or public-sector environments.
• Ability to diagnose organizational issues and drive measurable outcomes.
• Comfort making difficult decisions and navigating ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of all HR functions including employee relations, labor/union relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, workers’ compensation, and compliance with EEO, ADA, and FMLA requirements.
• Oversee the Facilities function to ensure alignment between workforce planning, workplace environment, and operational efficiency.
