thecalendargroup in River Oaks is seeking a professional Housekeeper to join a fully staffed household responsible for the detailed care and cleaning of a 20,000-square-foot home. The role requires meticulous cleaning, laundry, occasional cooking, and coordination with other staff.

Travel to Maine each summer for about three weeks, be available one weekend per month, and handle errands and meal preparation as needed. Strong attention to high-end finishes and pet care is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Non-Smoker.
• Experience caring for fine furnishings, delicate surfaces, high-end finishes, and silver.
• Excellent laundry and ironing skills.
• Ability to cook meals for the household.
• Willingness to travel in summer for ~3 weeks.
• Availability to work one weekend per month.
• Comfort around birds and basic pet care.
• Ability to identify issues and address them independently.
• Strong communication, good judgment and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Maine in summer for ~3 weeks to assist with upkeep, cooking, laundry and related support.
• Handle daily household cleaning: beds, kitchen, dishes, counters, sweeping, vacuuming, trash.
• Perform meticulous laundry care and ironing.
• Execute regular deep-cleaning projects.
• Establish and maintain a structured household maintenance schedule.
• Monitor inventory, restock supplies, alert employer when items run low or repairs needed.
• Run local errands, grocery shop, assist with party preparation.
• Prepare and cook meals for the household as needed.
