Shamin Hotels is seeking an Executive Housekeeper in Sandston, VA to lead housekeeping operations and ensure top-notch guest service. This full-time role manages housekeeping and laundry staff, enforces policies, and maintains room quality in a busy hotel environment.

The Executive Housekeeper coordinates with departments to meet hotel objectives, controls costs, and supports staff while delivering exceptional hospitality. Join a team focused on guest comfort and operational profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
• Experience with hotel brand systems preferred.
• Customer service skills required.
• Prioritization and time management skills required.
• Ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
• Strong attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Manages housekeeping and laundry staff: hiring, firing, performance evaluations, training and development.
• Establishes and maintains cost control systems for staffing, linen inventories and cleaning supplies.
• Enforces policies and procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
• Schedules staff according to labor standards and occupancy forecasts.
• Maintains room quality aligned with hotel objectives and standards.
• Monitors cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, laundry, restrooms and public areas.
• Communicates guest room status to front desk accurately.
• Handles lost and found procedures.
• Maintains security and proper use of on-loan equipment.
• Controls labor costs while maintaining productivity.
• Performs inventories of linen, supplies and equipment.
• Ensures staff interact with guests warmly and professionally.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
