Job Overview

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas through effective supervision and coordination of the housekeeping team. This role is key in enhancing guest satisfaction by maintaining high cleanliness standards and ensuring timely service delivery.

Essential Functions

1. Oversee daily activities of room cleaners, ensuring prompt and efficient cleaning according to standards.
2. Inspect all cleaned rooms, including VIP and early morning make-up rooms, to ensure quality standards are met.
3. Collaborate with departments such as front desk, engineering, banquet, and room services to ensure seamless operations.
4. Manage maintenance work orders for repairs or replacements in guest rooms and public areas.
5. Assist with inventory management of linens and supplies.
6. Handle guest requests and coordinate housekeeping efforts to meet guest needs effectively.
7. Maintain safety standards, including securing linen chutes, managing keys, and complying with safety procedures.
8. Train and supervise new housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to policies and standards.
9. Maintain accurate records of room checkouts and stay overs, and submit daily reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of housekeeping experience, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Leadership ability with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of hotel services and facilities.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 15 lbs, and push/pull carts up to 250 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and physical flexibility for routine duties.
