Job summary

Island Hospitality Management in Charlotte, NC seeks an Executive Housekeeper to oversee the Housekeeping department, drive service quality, and maximize room revenue while ensuring brand standards across our hotels. You will supervise Room Attendants, Inspectors, Housepersons and Laundry staff, manage schedules and budgets, handle purchasing, and lead recruiting, onboarding, and performance evaluations.

This role may require flexible scheduling and strong guest service focus to deliver

• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
• Ability to work well in stressful situations.
• Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service.
• Valid Driver's License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations and staff to ensure brand standards.
• Forecast, monitor, and control the housekeeping budget to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate team members; manage disciplinary actions as needed.
• Prepare team schedules in alignment with budgets and forecasts; supervise room attendants, inspectors, and laundry staff.

Description

As our Executive Housekeeper, you will be accountable for overseeing the organization, staff, and quality of the operations in the Housekeeping department while providing all guests with quality service and maximizing room revenue.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Requirements

• Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after guests check out
• Conducting daily room inspections to ensure all rooms are cared for according to brand and Island Hospitality Management's standards
• Supervise, monitor, and follow up on duties of Room Inspectors, Room Attendants, Houseperson and Laundry Attendants engaged in all types of the hotel cleaning operation
• Keep an inventory of department uniforms and supplies and make requisitions when you need to replenish
• Forecast, monitor, and control budget components of the housekeeping department to maximize revenue and minimize expenses
• Ensure that departments achieve or exceed guest's service expectations
• Control all purchases for the department, consistently aware of quality and cost
• Prepare team member schedules in accordance with budgets and business forecasts
• Manage human resources functions including recruiting, onboarding, performance evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions
