Job summary

UNC Health seeks a VP Chief Financial Officer for UNC Wayne to lead financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and management of the hospital's finances. You will partner with senior leaders and the Board to provide strategic financial guidance and ensure fiscal excellence across operations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Minimum 12 years of experience, with at least 10 years in people management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees financial operations including accounting, patient financial services, budgets, tax, and reporting.
• Advises hospital leadership on revenue, cost controls, strategy and capital allocation.
• Coordinates relationships with auditors, UNC system, vendors, regulators and lenders.
• Leads annual operating and capital budgets and monthly statements with variance analysis.
• Develops and communicates long- and short-term financial objectives aligned with strategy.
• Leads monthly department reviews and presents to UNC Wayne, UNC Health Trustees and boards.
• Leads people through clear expectations, accountability and development.
