Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Oversee general building maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, repairs and electrical work.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on all equipment.
  • Ensure building maintenance is sanitary, attractive, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Provide staff management including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication.
  • Oversee operations and maintenance of water systems, emergency electrical, sewage, primary electrical, telephone, fire alarm, and HVAC systems.
  • Develop maintenance plans and timelines; manage short/long-term projects as project manager.
  • Respond to facility emergencies and coordinate with vendors and staff to complete projects.
  • Report trends and issues to upper management; enforce maintenance budgets and capital infrastructure budgets.
  • Maintain a Computer Maintenance Management System to record and track repairs and construction activities.

  • Must be coming out of a 5 star hotel background
  • Oversee general building maintenance including: plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, repairs and electrical work.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on all equipment.
  • Ensure building maintenance is in a sanitary, attractive, safe, orderly condition and in compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
  • Ensure proper operations and maintenance of water systems, emergency electrical systems, sewage systems, primary electrical systems, telephone systems, fire alarm systems and heating and cooling systems.
  • Develop building maintenance plans, timetables for completion and recommendations for maintenance projects.
  • Serve as project manager for small scale, short duration projects.
  • Respond to facility fire and disaster situations immediately and assist per emergency plans.
  • Coordinate outside service vendors/contractors and maintenance staff to complete projects as assigned/necessary.
  • Reporting any trends, issues to upper management.
  • Implements departmental operating expense budget.
  • Directly responsible for development of capital infrastructure budgets, short-term and long-term. Responsible for maintaining approved capital infrastructure projects within budget.
  • Review and plan facility current and future operational and maintenance needs including researching new products, recommending purchases, contracts and maintaining system-wide services.
  • Oversees an accurate computer maintenance management system that records, stores, and retrieves repair, maintenance, and construction activities. Ensures equipment and building systems are given proper maintenance through an effective preventive maintenance program.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement, benchmarking, and tracking utilities. Drive continuous improvement and promote innovation to improve operational efficiency and sustainability.
  • Provide oversight of administration of safety, by assessing conditions throughout the facilities through building inspections, safety inspections, and various performance improvement initiatives.
