Job summary

Delta Diablo seeks an experienced General Manager to lead the District as chief executive officer, reporting to the Board of Directors and directing operations, finance, capital programs, and regulatory duties. The role requires strategic leadership, collaborative governance, and strong public service commitment.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors in civil engineering or related field; CA PE license desirable.
• Master's degree in related areas is highly desirable.
• Ten years in wastewater or water sector with seven years in supervisory roles, five at senior management level.

Responsibilities

• Lead Executive Team on policy, strategic, financial, regulatory, and public affairs issues.
• Oversee capital projects addressing aging infrastructure and regulatory compliance.
• Manage operating budget with resource alignment for financial sustainability.
• Develop and implement Strategic Plan goals with Board coordination.
• Drive IT, process automation, and efficiency improvements across the district.
• Prepare high-quality Board communications and materials.
