**Job Description Summary**

The Executive FLIGHT DECK Leader will demonstrate lean knowledge and apply lean transformation principles and process improvement concepts, approaches and methods through GE Aerospace’s proprietary lean operating system, known as FLIGHT DECK. The position will work to drive projects/process improvement to Supply Chain Organization. Main areas of responsibility include Capacity and Readiness, Transactional Lean within supply chain and Supply Strategy and Development.

**Job Description**

The Executive FLIGHT DECK Leader will demonstrate lean knowledge and apply lean transformation principles and process improvement concepts, approaches and methods through GE Aerospace’s proprietary lean operating system, known as FLIGHT DECK. The position will work to drive projects/process improvement to Supply Chain Organization. Main areas of responsibility include Capacity and Readiness, Transactional Lean within supply chain and Supply Strategy and Development.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

As the Executive FLIGHT DECK Leader, you will:

+ Develop and execute lean transformation strategy across the Supply Chain. This includes GE internal shops, joint ventures, and associated key suppliers in alignment with company vision and organizational goals.

+ Works with Capacity and Readiness team on building capacity view of supply chain and prioritizing and scaling industrial base.

+ Builds out and executes proprietary production system across Aerospace industrial base.

+ Owns and develops supplier development model for scaling industrial base.

+ Build lean capability in high performing leadership team, providing guidance and mentorship to Supply Chain Organization, and FLIGHT DECK practitioners. Train and educate employees at all levels in lean principles and tools.

+ Activate fundamental tools such as Value Stream Management, Problem Solving / Action Planning, Visual Daily Management, Standard Work, 5S, Operating Cadences, Kanban Systems, Production Preparation Process, Pull Systems, Decision Quality etc.

+ Collaborating with larger FLIGHT DECK community to promote kaizen mindset, skillset, toolset across GE Aerospace.

+ Ability to coach part family GM on FLIGHT DECK fundamentals including execution of policy deployment.

+ Identifying and prioritize opportunities for eliminate waste, create flow, improve processes, and reduce cost through the organization.

+ Actively participate in operating cadences. Engage in effective team problem solving to deliver year over year KPI performance. Advise and counsel staff related to issues impacting SQDIP.

+ Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and at the multiple levels in the organization.

+ Collaborate to develop and execute supply growth strategy.

**Required Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 10 years of experience leading Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Services, Digital, Commercial or P&L

+ Experience successfully driving change and transformation

+ Knowledge of and experience in applying lean in a variety of transactional and shop floor situations

+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

+ Must be willing to travel 25% to 60% based on business needs.
