Location: Hybrid (greater Philadelphia/King of Prussia/Collegeville area - at least 1-2 in-person connections/week)

Time Commitment: 10 -15 hours per week
Compensation: $1000 /month
Fellowship Term: October 1, 2026 – August 31, 2027 (1-Year Term, with potential for continued engagement and growth opportunities)

The Executive Fellow to the CEO is a high-impact professional opportunity for a skilled and highly capable individual who will work directly alongside the CEO across executive operations, strategic research, development and fundraising, donor stewardship, and special institutional projects.
The Executive Fellow will provide reliable and proactive support to the CEO while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities and projects. The role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, initiative, discretion, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.
Rather than functioning as a traditional administrative role, this fellowship provides meaningful responsibility across several areas of organizational leadership and operations. The Fellow will gain direct exposure to executive decision-making and nonprofit leadership while making substantive contributions to B2THEWORLD's strategic priorities.
The CEO has relocated from Rwanda to the greater Philadelphia area. This inaugural Executive Fellow will be tasked with helping the CEO establish operations in this area to best support a growing global organization. In turn, the Fellow will be developed, encouraged and mentored throughout the year professionally and personally.
Partner with the CEO to manage schedule priorities, executive calendar, and operational rhythms.
Monitor, review, prioritize, and assist with executive communications and inbox management.
Draft meeting agendas, prepare executive briefing materials, and track action items from high-level strategic meetings.
Coordinate domestic and international travel logistics, itineraries, and executive trip planning.
Review invoices, expenses, receipts, and supporting financial documentation prior to submission.
Process mail, route correspondence, and maintain executive digital filing systems within Google Drive.
Create and maintain an impactful and effective intern/fellowship system for B2THEWORLD.
Conduct primary and secondary research supporting the CEO's forthcoming book project focused on children impacted by war and armed conflict.
Gather, synthesize, and organize academic literature, case studies, statistical data, and real-world stories regarding trauma, educational restoration, and child development in post-conflict zones.
Draft literature summaries, annotated bibliographies, executive briefings, and thematic research memos for book chapters.
Maintain a structured research database and digital library of sources, interviews, and reference materials.
Assist with fact-checking, manuscript editing, formatting, and preliminary draft organization.
Support the end-to-end grantmaking process from initial inquiries to agreement execution and tracking.
Manage and optimize the Virtuous CRM database to maintain clean, accurate records for donors, prospective funders, and stakeholders.
Draft and coordinate donor communications, monthly/quarterly newsletters, and ministry updates.
Generate regular fundraising, development, and donor engagement reports for the CEO and board leadership.
Assist in designing and executing donor stewardship campaigns to build long-term relationships with B2THEWORLD supporters.
Coordinate logistics, invitations, registrations, and RSVP tracking for both virtual and in-person events.
Manage event vendors, venues, volunteer teams, and post-event attendee follow-up.
Track campaign outcomes, post-event metrics, and budget reconciliations.
Fellowship Project: Lead one major strategic project during the fellowship year tailored to the Fellow's areas of strength and B2THEWORLD's organizational needs (e.g., automated CRM workflow optimization, young donor strategy, an event operational playbook, or design of an ongoing Fellow/Intern program).
The Executive Fellowship provides meaningful professional exposure and opportunities to develop experience in the following areas:
Executive Leadership: Direct engagement with the CEO and exposure to high-level strategic decision-making, organizational priorities, and governance.
Professional Development: Regular 1on1 conversations with the CEO focused on performance, professional growth, leadership development, redemptive entrepreneurship and career direction.
Applied Research & Publishing: Meaningful contribution to a major book project on conflict-affected children, including research, analysis, writing, editing, and organization of source material.
Board & High-Level Exposure: Opportunity to participate in select board interactions, high-donor presentations, and other leadership contexts.
Technical & Digital Skills: Hands-on experience with Virtuous CRM, Google Workspace, AI productivity tools, research databases, and other systems used to support nonprofit operations.
Leadership & Project Ownership: Opportunity to take ownership of a significant strategic project and contribute meaningfully to organizational priorities beyond day-to-day executive support.
Education / Experience: At least two years of a Bachelor's degree completed in Business Administration, International Relations, Political Science, Education, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, together with relevant professional experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in executive support, operations, research, project coordination, communications, nonprofit development, or a related area. The role is suited to a professional who can operate independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Research & Analytical Skills: Strong research, synthesis, writing, and editing capabilities, with the ability to turn complex information into clear and useful summaries.
Organizational & Execution Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate details, meet deadlines, and follow projects through to completion.
Proactive Mindset: High degree of initiative, resourcefulness, adaptability, and sound judgment. Able to anticipate needs, identify gaps, and take appropriate action without requiring constant direction.
Technical & AI Proficiency: Strong proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, modern CRM platforms, research tools, and AI productivity tools. Experience with Virtuous CRM is an advantage.
Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication capabilities, with the ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
