Job summary

The University of Baltimore School of Law seeks an Assistant Dean to lead the Office of Student Affairs, directing a two-person advising team and coordinating services for student wellness, accommodations, and crisis support.

Reporting to the Dean, you will shape policies on student conduct, retention, and student life, serving on the senior leadership team and collaborating with academic affairs, registrar, and other university offices to ensure a positive law student experience.

Qualifications

• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in academic and student advising leadership roles in a higher education institution.
• Experience in higher education, in areas of academic policy, advising, academic integrity and student affairs or other similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the School of Law Office of Student Affairs and supervise two academic advisors.
• Advise students in crisis and coordinate accommodations and exam support.
• Oversee attendance policies, honors code, and student conduct matters.
• Coordinate exam administration for testing accommodations and proctoring.
• Plan orientation, commencement, awards, events to build community.
• Advise Student Government and support student organizations and journals.
• Represent the law school on faculty committees and at university level.
• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in academic and student advising leadership.
