Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto seeks a Senior Director of Operational Initiatives to lead high-visibility programs that span Stanford Medicine. You will partner with senior leaders and manage cross-functional projects, synthesizing priorities while aligning with the School’s mission.

You will develop governance structures, drive data-informed decisions, and guide change management to ensure sustainable impact and value realization across multiple entities.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree and ten years of relevant experience in strategy or program management within academic medicine or a large research institution.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with executive credibility and on-time delivery.
• Experience influencing at the executive level and managing governance, budgeting, and multi-year programs.

Responsabilidades

• Lead planning and execution of initiatives aligning with the Dean’s priorities and COO agenda.
• Define objectives, milestones, accountability, and success metrics for initiatives.
• Design governance forums enabling decision-making and timely resolution of competing interests.
• Communicate strategy and progress clearly to senior leaders, faculty, and staff.
• Identify and manage risks; develop mitigation plans and escalation protocols.
• Develop change management plans to ensure adoption and sustainability of major initiatives.
• Create strategic communications, executive briefings, town halls, dashboards, and data-driven materials.
• Cultivate executive sponsorship and stakeholder buy-in to maximize value realization.
• Develop business cases, ROI analyses, and financial models; secure funding as needed.
• Collect and utilize data to inform decisions and continuous improvement.
